parents and students working together to reduce the use of drugs,
alcohol and tobacco by area youth. The coalition also strives to
increase community awareness about the effects of substance abuse,
and to assist in coordinating healthy choices and programs for
at-risk children and teens.
Upper Valley
Prevention Partnership
United Way participates in an area prevention resource coalition
to identify and coordinate youth risk behavior prevention
resources that are currently available to youth, their families
and communities. The group also addresses gaps and intervenes to
assure risk reduction and healthy living.

Community Benefits Coalition
United Way is a member of this work group of health-care and human
service agencies collaborating in, and sharing the results of,
individual agency needs assessments from around the Upper Valley
Southern Grafton
Co. ServiceLink Advisory Board of Directors
United Way sits on the volunteer advisory board which addresses issues
central to the operation of ServiceLink, a new community-based
resource, information and referral program for the elderly and
handicapped adults.
Vermont & Upper
Valley Combined Federal Campaign
Upper Valley United Way participates at the Federation level which
sponsors its eligible partner agencies and local human service
organizations in the annual payroll deduction fund-raising campaign
among Federal in Vermont.
The Combined Federal
Campaign is mandated by the U.S. Congress and regulated by the U.S.
Office of Personnel Management in Washington, D.C.. It is the only
authorized workplace campaign among Federal employees.
